Thank you so much for visiting my page! Here is a little about me:
I am a New York State licensed cosmetologist and makeup artist. I am trained in many different brands. Over the years, I have become Sephora certified, a freelancer for Laura Mercier, trained in Temptu airbrush makeup, and built my bridal business from the ground up.
Art is my passion. I enjoy painting, drawing, DIY projects, refinishing furniture, and pretty much anything that I can use to channel my creativity. My husband and I love spending time outdoors, and taking our baby girl on new adventures whenever we can!
As a child, I always had a knack for styling hair & playing makeup with my friends, and even ruined a few dozen barbie dolls by cutting all their hair off & painting "makeup" using nail polish on their faces! At 16, I did not love high school, and decided to go to the C-TECH program in the mornings for cosmetology. I absolutely loved it, and would recommend it to any young person interested in the beauty industry. The education and experience is invaluable. I actually still keep in touch with my teacher!
At 17, my second year of cosmo, I did my first wedding. My brother's friend was getting married and asked me to style her hair. I was a little nervous, but it was that day that I discovered - "HEY- I could make a career out of this!" Thanks to Amanda for the leap of faith!
At 20, I was starting to gain a lot of freelance jobs, but decided to further my education in Makeup. I attended Makeup Designory of New York City, and studied Fashion Makeup Artistry. I had a great experience (besides the awful commute!) and made friends from all over the country, and world! During this time, I was also working at Sephora, and received a promotion to operations consulant, shortly after finishing school. Working for Sephora provided great training, and life experience & I even made some lifelong friends. However after about 4 years, I decided it was time to really start my business and follow my dreams.
Fast forward to now, I am 28 - married - a mom - and still chasing my dreams. Going on 10 years in the beauty industry! I love being my own boss. My best friend Arielle, and I have been working towards our goals, side by side for so long. We have a great new studio in Warwick, NY, that we share. I am looking forward to the future and all things we get to work on together!
Makeup and hair can seem shallow or artificial to some, but to me, there is nothing better than seeing someone transform and feel better about themselves after I've done my finishing touches. There is much more to it than a simple swipe of a brush. I will study your face shape, eye shape, skin and hair texture, and get an overall feel of what look suits your personal style.
I truly appreciate every one of my clients and brides that have let me be a small part of their big day! Stay tuned for more exciting things coming this year!
